Walking With Jesus

Corpus Christi Procession

Sunday, June 2nd at 3:00PM
On the Harrison Town Square

From the very beginning of Christianity, the doctrine of Jesus’ body and blood being truly present in the “Eucharist,” a word meaning thanksgiving, has always been held. In keeping the teaching of the Holy Scripture and the earliest traditions of Christianity, the Catholic Church has maintained that the Eucharist, consecrated by a priest in the line of apostolic tradition, is not a symbol or image of Jesus, but is truly, actually, and substantially, His body, blood, soul, and divinity. In acknowledgement of this reality, Catholics all around the world worship the Eucharist in adoration through various liturgical celebrations, including Eucharistic processions.

Mary Mother of God would like to invite you to a Corpus Christi Procession on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 3:00pm on the Harrison Town Square. All are welcome to participate in prayer as we walk with Jesus.

John 6:51

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”

Matthew 26:26

“While they were eating, Jesus took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, ‘take and eat; this is my body.’ “

1 Corinthians 10:16-17

“The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.”

Acts 2:42

“And they held steadfastly to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.”
